Caption: If all them hundreds of mass shootings was bein' done by black men, we'd be confiscating guns tomorrow. When white people arm theyselves so they can defend against the government, people call 'em "patriots." When black people do it, like the Black Panthers did, the same people call them "terrorists." This country ain't color-blind dog, it's color-blinded. You're much less depressing when you just talk about french fries.

Caption: It's hard to debunk the whole "fake news" thing when so-called "journalists" keep lying, or keep not correcting their "mistakes" take Joy-Ann Reid, for instance. Who she? She has a show on MSNBC. The other week, after that former Bernie-supporter shot at those congressmen ... somebody tweeted "too soon to mention Bernie owes his entire political career to the NRA? Particularly his support of assault rifles his R opponent decried?" "Journalist" Joy-Ann Reid retweeted that, adding "I hope we have the maturity as a country to confront facts like this at the same time we're thinking of victims and keeping level heads." But it wasn't a fact. Sanders opposed assault rifles. The NRA backed him in that one race to punish the Republican who'd just changed his position on assault rifles. A Vermont gun store owner said at the time, "At least [Bernie's] consistent" with his opposition to semi-automatic rifles. A simple Google search would've told her that, apparently Joy-Ann Reid doesn't even Joy-Ann read. This whole thing was so you could say that joke, wasn't it.

Florida, 'cause of "Stand Your Ground" … Chicago 'cause of all them gunfights … the whole Middle East 'cause of Isis 'n' them … I should name the list an' trademark it. Lotta people be leavin' money on the table when they don't trademark. "Bucket List" would've been worth millions. Whachoo got that rhymes with "Bucket List"?

Caption: The other day, somebody in a red Trump hat actually to me to "Go back where you came from, n*****." I'm not surprised. That's been happening a lot. Trump's election encouraged white supremacists everywhere to come out of the shadows. They think it's their day again. Well this ain't Selma, an' I ain't Martin Luther the King. That fool found that out right quick, bruh. This ain't 1965. This here 2016. Fools better know "n*****s" be armed now. Oh god, Clyde! What did you do?! What did you do?! You had a gun?! No, I had an iPhone. I recorded the whole thing. Put it on Youtube. In just two hours, that fool got fired. Oh. Maybe we should all be packing iPhones for the next four years.

Caption: Baton Rouge police was called 'cause someone said they saw a man with a gun sellin' CDs. The usual thing happened. Brotha didn't obey fast enough, cops rough him up, say he resisted arrest, he end up dead, an' it all on video. Then black people an' white people see two completely different things lookin' at the same exact video. I'm tellin' you bruh, Gilligan ain't never gettin' off this island. He actually got off in a pretty bad tv movie and ... never mind. Not the time.

Caption: I'm tired of liberals talking about that outspoken gun advocate who used her gun to shoot her own daughters. One little thing she did wrong doesn't change the fact that she was right when she used to say she needed guns to protect her family … Are you serious? And I'm tired of libs trying to create some "pattern" from the 30,000 isolated incidents that happen every year.

Caption: You've reached Senator Marionette's office. To ask a question, press or say "one" now. "One." If your question is "where do I send a campaign donation," press or say "one" now. If your question is about why I block all attempts at gun control even after enormous massacres, please hang up now. Not falling for it.

Caption: I tried to mourn after the Orlando massacre. I really tried. I sat down in front of my tv and waited for the usual grief to come. But all that came was anger. Intense, burning anger … because it felt like a ritual: mass shooting … grief … most of us demand gun control ... Congress does nothing ... we move on ... repeat. That's yo' problem, Big L: You keep expectin' Gilligan to leave that island. Can you ever give me non-Gilligan-related advice?

Caption: We're not done mourning the last mass shooting, so it's inappropriate to talk about gun control. It's too soon. Time. Seriously, we're averaging more than one mass shooting per day. When exactly will it be appropriate to talk about it? I believe there's an opening between 11:58pm and 11:58pm ad 22 seconds.

Caption: I'm tired of liberals using every mass shooting as an excuse to talk about having more gun regulations. Cars kill far more people than guns! Booze kills more people than guns! Tobacco kills more people than guns! Medical malpractice kills a lot more people than guns! You know that's why we regulate the heck out of all those things, right? I don't wee what that has to do with anything.

Caption: Do you have any idea how many mass shootings we've had in America this year? According to the Washington Post, in just the first 274 days of the year, we had 294 mass shootings. That's more than one per day. There are more mass shootings than there are days in the baseball season. You know what that means, don't you? It mean mass shootings is America new national pastime. Stop stealing my lines.

And then he pulled his gun on the other kids when they tried to ask him not to keep hurting her. Cough cough.* *I'm tired of having a new story like this to talk about every week. Caption: Did you know that, with very few exceptions, police officers in Britain don't carry guns? That's not a myth? It's true. And most cops want to keep it that way to preserve the sense that they serve the people rather than the state. Cops in Britain think that the public not feeling oppressed protects them better than guns would. Everyone has health insurance ... almost no one gets shot ... they got rid of slavery 22 years before we did ... Maybe those guys are onto something.

Caption: A cop in Cleveland jumped onto the hood of a car after a long chase … and fired 49 times at the unarmed people in the car. It all started when the driver fled from a traffic stop … and then his car back fired as it drove past police headquarters. Cops mistook that for gunfire. That's why when I'm in a car an' it backfires, I dive out the window, an' tuck and roll. A brutha can't take no chances. I always wondered why you do that.

Caption: Out of curiosity, why do you ask if I know where C-Dog was earlier today? $1000 in small, Cheeto-dust covered bills was left at the altar this morning, with a note that said "use this to help victims of gun violence." That doesn't sound like C-Dog. "This definitely ain't from a hardcore G like C-Dog. Sincerely, C-Dog." I know nothing. (This cartoon was originally published on 2013-01-04).

Caption: What do you mean you have to stay at my place for two weeks? I'm a unarmed black man. Seem like police, vigilantes an' bruthas be shootin' unarmed black men once every couple weeks. I just gotta wait till the next one happen, then I'll have another two-week window to walk home. It's like it's open season on unarmed black men ... ... an' erebody think they Elmer Fudd. Look on the bright side: plenty of other people get shot too. ... That didn't come out right.

Caption: You know why America lost it's #*&% mind about Ebola, even though other diseases kill far more people? 'Cause Ebola come from AFRICA. Remember when people thought "Africanized" killer bees was gonna break into people houses, steal they purses an' date they daughters? Not everything is about race. Americans freak out about ALL SORTS of things. If GUNS was from Africa, we'd ban guns TOMORROW.

Caption: Yesterday some guy tried to tell me not all shootings at schools are "school shootings." He even said gang-related shootings don't count. What, that surprise you? What country you think you livin' in, Big L? They been shootings in "inner city" schools since the eighties. But America only started caring when white suburban kids started killing too. That's kind of cynical, Clyde. Columbine was the "Elvis" of school shootings.

Caption: The other day, you quoted a study that said we'd had one school shooting a week since Newtown. That meant 74 shootings. YOU LIED!!! If you leave out every shooting that was suicide, gang- or robbery-related, accidental, or didn’t result in any injuries ... there were only fifteen shootings! So ... if you disregard most of the school shootings, there weren't very many school shootings at all. Next time do your research!
